SACRAMENTO, CA, April 30, 2010 —- Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings, Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors were unanimous selections to the 2009-10 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie First Team, the NBA announced today.

SACRAMENTO, CA —- The National Basketball Association today announced that Sacramento Kings’ guard Tyreke Evans is the recipient of the Eddie Gottlieb Trophy as the 2009-10 T-Mobile NBA Rookie of the Year.
“This is a great day in Sacramento Kings history,” said Kings’ owner Joe Maloof. “I’m extremely happy for Tyreke and all of the hard work he’s put in. It’s a tribute to Paul (Westphal) and his coaching staff, his teammates, this organization, this community and our fans.”

Sacramento Kings rookie guard Tyreke Evans joined Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James as the only players in NBA history to average 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game in their rookie seasons. Evans entered tonight’s contest against the Houston Rockets needing 24 points and accomplished the feat with two made free throws with 6:46 left in the fourth quarter.
